12-13 SEPTEMBER 2017 -COUNTER TERRORISM SYMPOSIUM
2-Day Session from 9:00am-5:00pm
Individual terrorist acts are unpredictable but follow common statistical patterns. This symposium aids in understanding similarities between terrorist organizations, their tactics and the effectiveness of counter terrorism operations.
The Symposium will bring together a collective group of subject matter experts and speakers on various aspects of terrorism, this includes efforts to understand terrorism today, tomorrow, and the future. In the context of this exclusive event, one of the key aims is to examine current trends and to help inform a positive and practical debate about the future of terrorism and the required strategic planning and responses.
Given the resources committed to counter-terrorism, it is particularly important to analyze and aggregate the available information provided in this symposium to better understand its various properties. When analyzing the correlation of terrorism there are different factors that are statistically significant depending on the level of development. Come join us, learn and lead the efforts of counter terrorism.
Moreover, terrorist groups are urging recruits to adopt easy-to-use tools to target public places and events. Specific attack tactics have included the use of vehicle ramming, small arms, straight-edged blades or knives, and homemade explosives, as well as other acts such as taking hostages, and more. Terrorists can attack anything, anywhere, anytime. Preventing all pure terrorism is impossible, but seeking ways to divert vulnerability and provide public safety is the goal.

The 2-Day training program incorporates analyzing intelligence information from previous real world attacks, and putting in place more robust security procedures to help mitigate future threats. The curriculum includes fundamentals of terrorism, risk recognition (persons or devices), security checkpoint, explosive detectors, reaction and reporting procedures, in addition to active-shooter and lock down procedures. Focus on Cabin Baggage Screening, WTMD Screening, Cargo Screening, and Employee Screening. We will also touch upon public safety and venue screening. Introduction to dissertation of IED’s and their construction, components, theory and the implementation will provide a basic level of understanding. This course can be used as a prerequisite for advanced courses and levels of instruction. The ETD product props used in this curriculum are compatible with two of the biggest names in explosive trace detection – Smiths Detection and Morpho Detection. Smith’s Detection and Morpho Detection ETD systems are used across the globe by homeland security, military, and your institution personnel for accurate threat detection. In addition to our explosive trace detection products, we are committed to providing the most effective IED training aids. We have a strategic alliance with the manufacturer X-ray correct IED training aids for security checkpoints and walk-through metal detectors for the accurate detection of guns, knives, mail threats, explosives, and explosive components such as firing circuits and blasting caps. Note: Your Laptop is required for the CBT – Computerized Base Training X Ray interpretation of images and new threats, this is a Simulation Computer Based Training. Instruction will utilize PowerPoint presentations, as well as hands-on interaction with replica threats (IEDs and Props, etc.). All will then be integrated in scenario based drills and training exercises which is the final part of the learning evaluation phase.
